There has been a massive focus on Menopause awareness and support for employees as women aged between 40 and 60 are the largest growing demographic in terms of employment trends (Fawcett Report 2022). 1 in 4 will experience symptoms that can affect their ability to perform well in the workplace (Fawcett Report 2022).

Being a solopreneur is challenging, hard work and demanding at the best of time so when you are perimenopausal or post-menopausal, physical symptoms such as hot flushes, irregular periods, flooding, joint and muscle pain can be troublesome.
However, it is the hidden or unknown symptoms that cause the most bother. Symptoms like sleep disturbances, anxiety, brain fog and irritability can affect our own performance but most importantly, our confidence in our ability to run our business.
